Oklahoma women's basketball will appear on national television a program-record 18 times during the 2026-27 season, the university announced Wednesday, Oct. 7.
The Sooners' schedule spans ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network and Fox. More than half of OU's Southeastern Conference (SEC) games earned national broadcast slots, along with seven non-conference matchups.
Oklahoma went 26-8 last season and reached the Sweet 16 for the second straight year under head coach Jennie Baranczyk, who enters her sixth season. The Athletic ranked the Sooners No. 14 in its preseason top 15.
The regular season opens Nov. 2 against North Carolina at 1:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2. That game tips off in Paris, France.
Lloyd Noble Center hosts multiple nationally televised games this season. SEC play begins Dec. 31 at Ole Miss at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
OU faces UCLA at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, in the Coretta Scott King Classic on Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. CT on Fox, Kentucky on Jan. 24 and South Carolina on Feb. 8 on ESPN2. The Sooners close the home SEC slate against Texas on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
The Bedlam rivalry game against Oklahoma State is set for Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN2 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
OU returns seven players from last season's roster, headlined by Aaliyah Chavez, the ESPN National Freshman of the Year, and Sahara Williams, a FIBA 3x3 gold medalist. A seven-player newcomer class featuring three freshmen and four transfers joins the returning core.
The coaching staff changed this offseason as well. The program hired former WNBA head coach Latricia Trammell, a Seminole, Oklahoma, native, as associate head coach on Sept. 30, pending Board of Regents approval. Trammell led the Dallas Wings to 22 wins and a WNBA semifinals appearance in 2023 and most recently served as an assistant with the Chicago Sky.
"I'm 100% committed to helping us reach the highest of heights in 2026-27 and beyond," Trammell said Sept. 30, when the hire was announced.
Home games and road SEC contests not selected for national broadcast will stream on SEC Network+. An exhibition against Southern Nazarene tips off Sunday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. CT at Lloyd Noble Center.
Season tickets are on sale, with general admission packages starting at $108. Fans can contact the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (405) 325-2424 or visit SoonerSports.com/Tickets.
