A Cleveland County jury convicted Livingston Drake Strachan on two felony counts Oct. 22, recommending 25 years for trafficking and 10 years for conspiracy in prison for fentanyl trafficking tied to an undercover sting in Moore.
Strachan, who had six prior felony convictions, was found guilty of aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs involving fentanyl and conspiracy, according to the Norman Transcript. The jury recommended 25 years on the trafficking count and 10 years on the conspiracy count.
The case grew out of a March 6, 2025, investigation led by the District 21 Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, with assistance from the Moore Police Department. An undercover task force agent arranged to purchase fentanyl from Strachan in Moore, according to the District 21 District Attorney's Office.
The Norman Transcript reported the arranged buy was for approximately 6 grams of fentanyl powder at a 7-Eleven in Moore. KOKH Fox 25 reported that Moore police pulled Strachan over as he headed to the meet-up location and took him into custody.
Officers recovered approximately 20 grams of suspected fentanyl concealed on a passenger in the vehicle, the DA's office said. Investigators also recovered the task force funds used during the transaction.
The DA's office recognized Assistant District Attorneys Shafer and Day for prosecuting the case.
Formal sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 13, 2027, at 2 p.m.
