Jocelyn Alo, the NCAA Division I career home run leader, will return to professional softball with the Chicago Bandits after sitting out the 2026 season.

Alo's re-signing and a second deal were announced this week by the University of Oklahoma. Former Sooner pitcher Karlie Keeney has signed with the Knoxville Miracle of the Professional Softball League. Both players built their college legacies in Norman.

Alo re-signed with the Bandits of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League after spending the 2026 season on the temporary inactive list following the birth of her first child. The Hauula, Hawaii, native finished her OU career with 122 home runs, 761 total bases and 323 RBIs, second-most in NCAA history. She was a two-time USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and helped power the Sooners to back-to-back national championships in 2021 and 2022.

Alo was also a four-time NFCA All-American and two-time Big 12 Player of the Year. After college, she was taken No. 1 overall in the 2022 Women's Professional Fastpitch Draft by the Smash It Sports Vipers and later played in the previous iteration of Athletes Unlimited Softball before joining the Bandits.

In a 2022 Sooner Magazine profile after her final college season, Alo said she was most proud of winning it all alongside her teammates, calling back-to-back national championships "the ultimate achievement."

Before arriving in Norman, Keeney played four seasons at Liberty and earned three All-ASUN selections. After her playing career ended, she served as OU’s student assistant pitching coach in 2025 and was hired as an interim coach assisting the pitching staff in February 2026. She now joins former Sooner outfielder Abby Dayton on the Knoxville Miracle roster.
