OU soccer routs Tulsa 4-1, extends perfect start to 5-0

Oklahoma soccer scored three goals in under eight minutes Thursday night and rolled past Tulsa 4-1 at John Crain Field in Norman.

The Sooners improved to 5-0 and have outscored opponents 23-1 through five games, according to OU athletics. Tulsa dropped to 3-1.

Norman native Narissa Fults opened the scoring in the eighth minute, gathering a cross in the box and slotting it home for her second goal of the season. Lexi Dendis and Ally Laccinole assisted.

The match settled until the 31st minute, when OU uncorked a three-goal burst in seven minutes and 58 seconds.

Laccinole headed in a corner kick from Paige Califf to make it 2-0. Three minutes later, Kayla Keefer nodded in her eighth goal of the season off a Tulsa defender's attempted clearance. Keefer's total already surpasses her entire 2025 output. Freshman Kennedy Kaiser capped the run in the 39th minute, hooking a shot just inside the far post off an assist from Avery Brand.

Kaiser has now scored in four consecutive games.

Goalkeeper Callie Sullivan, also a Norman native, kept Tulsa off the board until the 58th minute, when Addison Castleberry scored the first goal allowed by OU all season. Sullivan had made a key save on a one-on-one chance five minutes earlier.

Head coach Matt Mott's squad dominated possession, earning nine corner kicks to Tulsa's zero. Twenty Sooners logged minutes in the match.

Season context

OU entered the Tulsa game having set a program record for consecutive shutouts to start a season. The streak reached four games before Castleberry's goal broke through. Keefer, a junior forward named SEC Offensive Player of the Week after the season's opening week, has eight goals in five games. She set a program single-game record with four goals in the 9-0 win over Northwestern State on Aug. 12.

Fults, a junior transfer from Arizona named to the SEC Preseason Watch List, has two goals in five games since returning to her hometown. She logged six goals and six assists in 37 matches across two seasons with the Wildcats.
