Eighteen vendors and performers will line Main Street in downtown Norman on Sept. 11 for the monthly 2nd Friday Art Walk.

The free event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Walker Arts District. The Norman Arts Council, which organizes the walk, posted the outdoor lineup on X on Sept. 8.

Among those set up outside along Main Street: Dan Reyna Art, David Miller, Duncan & Duncan Sideshow and Museum of Curiosity, Erin Gericke Art, Fauna Stitchery, Gregg Standridge Art, jels jewels, Justin Jack and Lemonade and Craft Stand.

Also on the roster: Liam Carr, Radiant Owl Studio Arts, the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, Samster Designs, Shayquita Defreeze, Skyla's Craft Case, Sooner Sensations, Stone & String by Jameson and SunHive Collective, Inc.

The Art Walk footprint covers seven blocks, stretching from 200 West Main to 300 East Main and the 200 and 300 blocks of East Gray Street, according to the Norman Arts Council's event page. The full schedule of events from participating brick-and-mortar businesses and galleries had not been posted as of Sept. 9. The council said that lineup would be available at 2ndFridayNorman.com.

The event is rain or shine.

The Art Walk has run for more than a decade, according to the Norman Convention & Visitors Bureau. Each month, galleries, shops, musicians and vendors gather along the route. Past lineups have included karaoke, face painting and free kids' ballet classes.

Sponsors include Fowler Automotive, Jennifer Ball-Burwell, the City of Norman, the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Brick-and-mortar businesses within the footprint can still participate at no cost by contacting Travis Catalano at the Norman Arts Council. Outdoor vendor permits are $100 for late applications. The free street performer permit deadline was 6 p.m. Sept. 9.

The next Art Walks after Friday are scheduled for Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11.
