Noble's Planning Commission will decide Monday whether to adopt the Noble Proud 2050 Comprehensive Plan, a 25-year blueprint that would guide the city's growth, land use, infrastructure and capital improvement decisions through 2050.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Noble City Hall, 304 S. Main St.

The vote is the first action item on the commission's Aug. 24 agenda. If adopted, the plan would move to the Noble City Council for final approval, though no council vote has been scheduled yet.

The Noble Proud process launched in October 2024, when the city began soliciting community input. The city posted a draft plan for public review beginning April 6, with comments accepted through May 4. Guernsey, the consulting firm hired to develop the plan, presented the draft to the City Council at a special meeting July 20.

Chairman Laura Matlock will preside over Monday's meeting. The commission's other members are Vice-Chairman Jeremy Colwell and Commissioners Lonnie Burns, Tom Jobe and Lance Ridenour.

The agenda also includes a discussion-only item on annexation of real property owned by the Noble Utilities Authority. No action is scheduled on that item, and the specific parcels under consideration are not identified in the posted agenda.

The full text of the Noble Proud 2050 plan, including its land-use map, growth projections and annexation boundaries, has not been made publicly available in a readable format online.

Noble's City Council, led by Mayor Phil Freeman, includes Vice-Mayor Forrest Mitchell and Council Members George Schmerer, Bernard Rabbitt and Chad Terrill. The council's next regular meeting date has not been confirmed.
