Norman North quarterback Nash Henry threw six touchdown passes Thursday, Oct. 8, as the Timberwolves beat Southmoore 49-10 in Norman.
Five of Henry's scoring strikes came in the first half. Norman North led 42-3 at the break, with the Timberwolves' offense clicking from the opening possession, Touchdown Friday Night reported.
Stanford-committed tight end Ben Kolar hauled in three of those touchdown passes, covering 50, 22 and 57 yards. Kolar, a senior, has been a focal point of the passing game all season. Head coach Justin Jones praised Kolar in a Sept. 18 OU Daily profile on his college commitment, saying Kolar "has also continued to increase his already high football IQ."
Henry's other three touchdown passes went to Aiden Williams, Vlad Afanasiev and Byron Mason. Mason added a 23-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter, giving him two scores on the night.
Mason has been a consistent weapon for ninth-year head coach Jones all season. The senior running back scored four touchdowns in the Timberwolves' 45-18 Crosstown Clash win over Norman High on Aug. 28, according to the Norman Transcript.
Henry now has 22 touchdown passes this season. Thursday marked the second time in 2026 he has thrown six in a single game.
Southmoore managed just a 30-yard field goal from Peyton Knight in the first half before quarterback Kadyn Daily connected with Zach Corey on a 78-yard touchdown pass with 5:50 remaining.
The win improved Norman North to 5-1. The Timberwolves' lone loss came Sept. 25, when Broken Arrow scored 49 unanswered points in a 55-21 victory and held Norman North scoreless in the second half.
Norman North travels to Bixby on Thursday, Oct. 15. The Spartans were ranked No. 1 in Oklahoma high school football as of Oct. 4, according to Massey Ratings published by On3, while Norman North sat at No. 10.
