Oklahoma Baseball will unveil its 2026 national championship ring at a fundraising dinner on the field at Kimrey Family Stadium on Friday, Oct. 16.

The event, called "A Night with Champions," starts at 6 p.m. and celebrates the Sooners' third baseball title in program history. Guests will eat dinner on the same field where head coach Skip Johnson's squad plays, bid in a live auction and get an early look at the championship hardware, according to the university's announcement.

RSVPs are due by Wednesday, Oct. 7. For questions or table reservations, contact the Sooner Club at 405-325-8000 or [email protected].

The guest list includes former OU football coaches Barry Switzer and Bob Stoops, along with MLB Draft first-round picks Cade Cavalli, Cade Horton, Kyler Murray and Kyson Witherspoon. All proceeds go to OU Baseball recruiting, developing and retaining student-athletes.

After OU defeated No. 3 Georgia to reach the College World Series championship series, Switzer told ESPN in June: "People are learning because Skip and these guys are making them learn!"

Oklahoma went 14-16 in SEC play, winning four of 10 conference series. Then the Sooners went 11-2 in the NCAA tournament, beating nine national seeds along the way.

Sports Illustrated reported those nine wins against seeded teams set an all-time NCAA record. OU clinched the crown with a 13-2 rout of No. 5 North Carolina at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha.

Junior shortstop Jaxon Willits earned Most Outstanding Player honors after posting 13 hits in the postseason, shattering the program's previous mark of nine. The Sooners finished 43-23 overall.

It was OU's first baseball championship since 1994 and its third overall, joining the 1951 and 1994 squads.

The celebration comes as Kimrey Family Stadium undergoes a $49 million renovation. As we reported Sept. 16, the university named a new performance center at the stadium after the late Toby Keith.
