Oklahoma's unbeaten soccer team returns to John Crain Field on Thursday night with a shot at program history.

No. 21 OU (8-0-2, 2-0 SEC) hosts LSU (2-7-1, 0-2 SEC) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in Norman. Admission is free.

The Sooners have scored 37 goals through 10 matches, averaging 3.7 per game. OU athletics says two more would set the program's single-season record, though the program's own media guide lists the mark at 38 goals, set in 2024 and tied in 2025. Either way, the Sooners are knocking on the door. OU leads the SEC in points (108), goals and goal differential (plus-30), ranking second nationally in all three categories behind only Purdue.

Head coach Matt Mott's squad hasn't lost all season. The unbeaten streak reached 10 after a 3-1 comeback win at Georgia on Friday, Sept. 18. The Sooners trailed at halftime for the first time this year, then answered with three second-half goals.

Freshman midfielder Kate McCallister scored the equalizer in Athens and earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors on Monday, Sept. 21. McCallister, a true freshman from Rowlett, Texas, has three goals and one assist this season. She and fellow freshman Kennedy Kaiser have combined for 17 of the team's 23 freshman points. Kaiser leads that duo with five goals.

Elle Canty also stood out in the Georgia win, scoring once and assisting on another goal. Sophie Morrin added the third.

At home, the Sooners have been dominant. OU is 4-0 at John Crain Field with a plus-20 goal differential, scoring at least three goals in every home match while allowing just two.

LSU brings a different profile than its record suggests. The Tigers reached the SEC Tournament title game last season and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 before falling to Vanderbilt both times.

This year has been rougher. LSU opened conference play against No. 8 Tennessee and No. 16 South Carolina, and three of its seven losses came by a single goal. Ava Galligan leads the Tigers with four goals. Striker Sariyah Bailey is expected to return after competing with the U-20 Canada Women's National Team, according to OU athletics, though her availability Thursday has not been confirmed.

Thursday marks the eighth all-time meeting between the programs and the second as SEC opponents. The last time LSU visited Norman was 2012, when the Tigers won in double overtime.

OU's next home match is Sunday, Sept. 27, at noon against Alabama at John Crain Field.
